KMart's Super Doubles are Back, but I'm Not Going

OK, so KMart's super doubles are back this week but with a few new twists and turns.

1. You have to have a rewards card (which you can sign up at the register for). This card has to be presented BEFORE your order to track your coupons each day.

2. There is a strict limit of 5 coupons/day. This is tracked with the rewards card. (I called my closest KMart in Zanesville to confirm this.)

So, I won't be going. There is no reason for me to drive 1/2 hour for 5 coupons. If you have a KMart close to you, it may be worth your while. Just know and expect the limits before you shop.

My letter to KMart - Shame on you!

Here is a copy of the email that I sent KMart to defend myself and my friends who have tried to use their coupon and have failed (and been treated rudely, like criminals...)

"I am completely appalled at the way your company has handled the $10/20 coupon that was featured on YOUR website. I did not download/print/copy a fraudulent coupon, I simply printed a coupon that was available on your site.

Let's say that you made a mistake (since that's what you are saying), why not honor the coupons for those of us who legitimately printed them BEFORE you realized that you made a boo-boo. Your error is not my problem!

However, when you accuse me and my friends of being fraudulent or unethical in front of our impressionable children, then I am one mad mama! Shame on you, KMart, for not standing by what you say. In my mama world, we call that promise-breaking. You broke a promise and lost quite a few customers.

If you had a problem with KMart, I would encourage you to email/call/write to them also. The more of us they hear from, the better! (I am to the point of even avoiding super doubles after this!)

KMART - Not Legit! I Quit!

Well apparently the KMart coupon is not legit. Not technically fraudulent, just meant for certain cities only...and it came directly from ther corporate site...aka "their" error... Go HERE to read Kristen's post on this one.

Again, I remind myself that if something sounds too good to be true...it is. I'm getting fed up with KMart. I personally think that because they made a mistake on their site, they should honor the coupon for those that have it. (They already deleted it from the site.)

Here's hoping that you didn't waste a lot of ink of these!

Has Anyone Used the New KMart Coupon Yet?

Could It Be True - KMArt Super Doubles, Back?

Rumor has it that KMart will be restarting their super doubles promotion starting the week of 4/4. What that means to you is, get your binders ready for a coupon extravaganza...seriously they will double up to $2 in MQ (=$4 off). This will get you a LOT of free stuff in the toiletries, cleaning, and grocery sections. It will get you a TON of cheap stuff in these sections as well in addition to housewares (think Rubbermaid), batteries, entertainment, etc.

Let's get ready to......KMart!

(As always, call your store before you drive to make sure that they are participating...mine is 40 minutes away.)

My KMart Super Double Deals

My total before coupons was around $108 (I didn't see the exact change.)

I used a $5/$50 coupon first.

Then used a TON of other coupons. The Special K ended up being .50/box. Ziplocs were $1.00/box. The candy bars were FREE. The Hormel entrées were .50/each. The Crystal Light was .75/each. The Pert shampoo was .25. The break and bakes were .99.

My total after coupons was $36.09.

I saved around $70 or 70%!!!

Zanesville KMART Update on Super Double Coupons

According to "Steph" at Zanesville KMart's customer service, they ARE participating in super double coupons this week. All coupons are included (not just proctor & gamble) and there is NO LIMIT to how many you can use.

I also asked her what days they stock the shelves. They receive trucks Wednesday and Friday. So, even if you wait uintil Saturday, you should still be able to get some deals.

I would recommend calling your local KMart and asking these kinds of questions before venturing out... Have fun!

Update: September's Grocery Goal

Hi, Friends! We've been doing fairly well living off of our stockpile and sticking to our lower grocery goals. For those of you who are new (welcome by the way!), I usually spend $55/week for our family of four. The $55 includes groceries, toiletries, paper products, and pullups. This month, due to extra expenses, I made a goal of living off of my stockpile and lowering my budget to $25/week + $40 for KMart's Super Double coupons sale. Here's how it looks so far:

KMart: 24.79 (15.21 UNDER budget)
Week 1 (Meijer): 32.75 (7.75 OVER budget)
Week 2 (Meijer): 26.48 (1.48 OVER budget)

As of today, I am still 5.98 UNDER my projected budget of 90.00 (2 grocery trips + 1 KMart).

I still have 55.98 left to spend for the month.

Can I do it? Yes, I can!

Word on the street is the KMart is having Super Double Coupons again the week of 8/30. So, start saving your big coupons and get ready for yet another trip to KMart. (Super Double Coupons = double any coupon up to $2 value, so $2 = $4! Get it?) This a good (bad) thing people, a good (bad) thing!!!
